Sabbath Details:
Our church will be closed Sabbath, Sept 15, and we hope everyone will join us for Sabbath worship and fellowship at Stokes.
Sabbath School will start at 10 AM at Stokes State Forest – group site G. Bring your picnic food to share, potluck-style, for both lunch and dinner and spend the day outside, worshiping in the morning, hiking in the afternoon, and finishing the night with a bonfire.
We hope to see you there!
NJ Camp Meeting – June 23
Just a quick reminder that there will be no service in Tranquility Church tomorrow. We look forward to spending the day with you at camp meeting, worshipping with our brothers and sisters from the New Jersey Conference. Our choir will have a special appearance during the afternoon program that you don’t want to miss!
Daniel Masaka was so kind to drop off a few goodies for the church. There is some bread, some cereal, and lots of granola and healthy snacks. We invite to to stop by after the morning service and take some treats home! We will keep the church open during lunch time for you.
Our New Pastor
The NJ Conference leadership will be re-districting NJ churches. As of January 1, we will again be in one district with Hackettstown and Phillipsburg.
We will be sharing their current pastor, Stephen Lee. We are excited to have Pastor Lee and his family join the Tranquility Church family!

Please note that Sabbath, December 30 is the last day for your donations to be included in your 2017 tax receipt.
Fall Hike – October 28th 3:30 pm
Come join us as we enjoy God’s nature and each other’s company! We will be meeting at 3:30 pm to hike the Catfish Fire Tower. A short but moderate trail with great views from the fire tower.
Adventist Community Services – Special Offering October 14
This Sabbath we are collecting a special offer to help the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico as well as the victims of the earthquake in Mexico. If you would like to contribute, please mark your donation with “ACS”.
Annual Hayride & Bonfire – October 21st at 6:30 pm
Our hayride will be at Tranquility Farms this year. Bring finger food to share and chairs for all in your group.
Church Business Meeting – October 1st
On October 1st at 6 pm we will hold a business meeting to discuss what mission project(s) the church would like to support. We invite all church members to come with their ideas and present them to the church during this business meeting. More details on how to prepare will follow soon.
Container for Haiti – Mission Project
Just a quick reminder that we are still collecting items to send to Haiti. The trailer will be picked up no later than October 19 so there is not much time left. What we particularly need is school supplies, which you are welcome to directly give to Carolle.
Items we are also looking for include
- learning materials for schools
- computers (desktops, laptops)
- mattresses for dormitories
- rugs and toys for pre-schoolers
- bed linens
- cafeteria items (tables, chairs)
- bicycles
- medical equipment (e.g. wheelchairs)
- exercise equipment
- musical instruments
- kitchen utensils
- tool boxes
You can also contribute to the cost of filling and shipping the container by marking you donation as “Haiti Mission Project”.
